"If in Côte-Rôtie, I want to climb to the highest point on the slope from whose grapes the juice always runs blackest and sweetest. I want to feel the poor stony soil crumble beneath my feet and touch the twisted, tortured trunk of the vine which each year struggles to survive on this barren slope and ripen its tiny crop. If I'm in Margaux, I want to tread the warm, well-drained gravel outcrops and then step off into the sullen clay swamps nearby and, with this single step, I'll know why the gravel-grown grapes are precious and the clay-clogged ones are not. I want to see the Andes water gushing down into the fertile vineyards of Chile's Maipo Valley. I want to feel the howling mists chill me to the bone in California's Carneros, and then feel the warm winds of New Zealand's Marlborough tugging at my hair. I want it all to make sense”

DOMÄNE WACHAU - Grüner Veltliner Spätlese Himmelstiege 1977 🇦🇹 🍷

Having lived in Austria for three years.. I was more excited to taste this wine.. and let it take me to its hills, nature, sunrises.. the language of “grüß god”

If a wine could taste old.. this is the one! Syrupy golden in the glass.. nose is dominates by honeysuckle, jammy and marmalade aromas.. even though this Himmelstiege looks like a dessert wine it vibrates different taste buds on the palate.. it’s not that sweet, delightfully crisp, smooth and has freshness.. but somehow feels old!

WEINGUT TÜRK KREMSTAL DAC GRÜNER VELTLINER KREMSER WEINBERGE 2016 🇦🇹🍷

I didn’t know about this wine at all and wanted to try it because of the name.. “Türk” was an unusual name for a wine in my eyes.. the wine is from Niederösterreich, the grape variety is as usual, the delightful Grüner Veltliner. Reading more on this wine made me more and more curious. The producer targets to produce “characterful long lived wines”.. I am thinking now may be the name of the wine make sense..

At appearance wine is pale with lemon reflection here and there.. jasmines, hints of orange blossom, green apples, mellow pear and apricots then spicy finish with just hints of peppers on the nose takes you into its journey.. It’s beautifully dry, fresh from the rocky soils and has perfect level of polyalchols..this wine dances on your palate and wants you to connect with “nature” once again.. It doesn’t have a very long finish but this elegant floral wine invites you for another sip each time..

Festivo- Malbec 2018

You want to escape with this wine.. not sure about the destination but perhaps the journey it is that is more profound.. beautiful ruby red with arches surrounding your glass.. it hints the warmness of the wine there at first.. dried roses, almost ripen blackberries, juicy plums with hints of pepper hypnotises your nose.. its elegance has started on the nose and dominates your palate with its smoothness and freshness and perfect level of warmness.. It’s a kind of wine you will keep on wanting to go back and sip it just a little bit more.

Clear and limpid attracts with its pale straw yellow colour.. As you swirl your glass the wine appears to be moderately effervescent.. Delicate white flowers, fresh acacia, green apple, pear and white peach tones dominate the olfactory observation.. This beautiful muscadet is moderately intense and complex on the nose.. It is dry, moderately warm, smooth and its medium body brings freshness and minerality on the back of the tongue.. Good balanced, moderately intense, medium length harmonious wine from Bordeaux grapes .

Edna Valley Chardonnay 2016 🇺🇸 🍷 .

Crystal clear, straw yellow with gold reflects on the appearance .. consistency is more mature.. This wine is intense on the nose but not so complex.. it has fruitiness with white peach, apricot and tropical fruits. It goes even more delightful on the nose with honey, buttery and creamy aromas. Almond nut and bitterness on the palate.. not much coherence between mouth and nose, yet it’s an adventures wine! . butter cream oak apricot jam banana tropical green mango grapefruit
